Miniature Puggle Makes Great Family Pet

There are more dog breeds coming out in the last few years that fall into a category called crossbreeds. These are dogs that are not mixes, but are bred specifically between two separate breeds. The result of this is an entirely new breed of dog. One such instance of this is the miniature puggle. While the full size puggle was created in Wisconsin, the miniature version has evolved from the full size dog. The two breeds that are crossed to form this new breed are the Beagle and the Pug. Because both of these breeds are fairly mild mannered, these dogs make great family pets.
Like most dogs, the miniature puggle does require daily exercise. While some dogs need to be out multiple times during the day getting all sorts of play time and walks, this dog can get by with one good walk or just some time to play in the backyard. As stated earlier, these dogs do have an excellent temperament to be around children and families. Because of their small size, there aren’t as many concerns about knocking down small children or getting too rough with them during playtime.

All dogs, no matter the breed, need to receive some sort of training when they are young in order for them and the owners to have a good experience. The miniature puggle is no exception to this rule. These dogs are very receptive to training and do the best in an environment that is very positive and reward based. While most people just do the basic obedience training with these dogs, they are capable of learning more advanced commands. Giving these dogs the proper training will ensure that they are a welcome member of the family. Investing a lot of time in training while these dogs are young will pay huge dividends as they become adults.

Having a dog is a huge responsibility for any person, couple or family. Choosing the right dog for your living conditions and personality are key factors in making sure everything goes smoothly. Choosing a miniature puggle as your next pet will bring you a dog that needs to receive training and have some sort of daily exercise. They do well in families or with a single person or couple where they will be more at the center of attention. They are extremely friendly and will become a very reliable companion to any owner that treats them properly.
